Frequently Asked Questions

Is strength and conditioning within the scope of practice of a Physical Therapist?
- No. Strength and conditioning is a separate field and requires a distinct certification of its own. Any strength and conditioning services offered by Beyond Rehab are done so by a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Are health and wellness services within the scope of practice of a Physical Therapist?
- Yes. A licensed Physical Therapist  has the training and knowledge to offer these services. The promotion of health and wellness is clearly defined within the scope of practice of a PT by the American Physical Therapy Association.

I have not been cleared by my physician to partake in physical activity, does Beyond Rehab recommend that I get this clearance before using its services?
- Absolutely. Before beginning any form of physical activity or exercise, it is always advised to consult with your physician.

I am a Physical Therapist, can I join Beyond Rehab without leaving my current position.?
- Yes. Unless your current position offers similar services to Beyond Rehab, there should not be a conflict of interest. PTs often work in several different settings without a conflict to their primary position. There is no reason, as a physical therapist, you should not offer any service within your scope of practice that can enhance the quality of life of your patients. However, it is recommended to consult with your employer if you want to join our team without leaving your current setting.
